I have a Kenmore Elite front loading washer. A small cap

Customer Question

I have a Kenmore Elite front loading washer. A small cap flipped in to the drawer that holds soap, etc and now I have a waterfall from the front of the machine, clearly that small cap is obstructing the water from going in the machine. Can I get to the water in-flow without to much trouble?

The drawer is easily removed, so remove it and you should be able to get to the cap that way. Post the FULL model# ***** that is unsuccessful.

I got the drawer out but the cap is not visible, clearly it has moved further down.

Model# ***** I asked for in that case?

This is easily resolved on this model. Take the top off the washer then unclamp the hose that leads from the dispenser to the tub at the tub end and the cap will be right there.

Is there a trick to taking off the top?

Got the top off

Got the cap but something else fell into the bottom of the washer when we got the clamp off.

Well, whatever it was will wind up in the drain pump trap if it is small enough to pass into there. In any case your initial request to get the cap was answered correctly. I would appreciate a rating on that for helping you out immediately and on a Sunday to boot. thanks
