We just installed a new water filter. Every thing went fine and the water is coming (after pouring out a gallon and a half.) We have done this before with no problem. Our problem now is that the filter light wont reset when we push it and hold it for three seconds. What do you advise?

Are you holding the water filter button for 3 seconds or just the count of three? If three second let`s try holding it for 5 seconds and see what it does.

I TRIED IT. NO HELP. if WE PUSHED THE "LOCK" BUTTON BY MISTAKE COULD THAT EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM?

Yes if you have the control panel locked the water filter button will not work .

THE LIGHT ON THE LOCK BUTTON IS "OFF". WE PUSHED IT ON AND TRIED THE FILTER RESET. NO GOOD. THEN BACK TO OFF NO GOOD. THIS APPLIANCE IS UNDER WARRANTY AND WE JUST BOUGHT THE FILTER. WHY SHOULD I PAY ANYTHING? BEAR IN MIND EVEN THOUGH THE WATER WORKS IT COULD BE THE NEW FILTER.
