Whirlpool washer detergent dispenser is overflowing water when filling. Is it clogged? How do I fix it.

OK The model number is ***** the lid at the rear of the opening on top loaders .If you open the washer lid ,
under the lid NOT on the lid ,but under the lid at the rear of the opening

OK lets raise the top and the you can clean the dispenser and hose out

On the front lip of the washer top on the corners is a clip on each side. if you push the clip in and raise the top you will see the bottom of the dispenser and the hose ,remove the hose and clean it out with hot water and pour hot water in the dispenser also.

I watch the video and tried to insert and screw driver in between the top and bottom. no clip found. it seams solid.

no it is there a screw driver is too thick ,use a putty knife.

I looked at the parts breakdown, and saw the clip #8, Tried to open it again with more pressure and couldn't get it to open

As you see on the video it is very easy to open just push in and you have the top open.

with a flash light look in that gap and you should be able to see the clip .
