E2 is a condenser fan motor fault. You will need to replace it.

it sounds like it is still running; also, I read that if there has been a power failure, it might be a false reading. there have been a lot of power failures around here because of ice, although not at this location, that I know of.

Unplug it for 10 minutes and see if it resets.
