I have GE Refrigerator Model PFE29PSDFSS with filter RPWF

Customer Question

I have GE Refrigerator Model PFE29PSDFSS with filter RPWF (actually water sentinel W3G-4). Removed old filter OK, but did not get new filter fully inserted before I swung it inward. It looks like I have filter access misaligned so I cannot insert the new filter?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The filters you are installing are aftermarket filters. They are not made by GE. It is more likely that the filters are the issue, not the connector on the refrigerator. Can you post a picture of what you see, please?

Thanks. I am attaching pictire. I can see that the slot in refer has teeth that do not align with teeth on filter. Hopefully, you can see this. I also purchased a GE filter to eliminate any problems with after-market filter.

Excellent picture, thank you! Can you move that inside piece down to match up with your finger?
