The bottom of the handle on my Electolux Model EI30BM60MSA

Customer Question

The bottom of the handle on my Electolux Model EI30BM60MSA has pulled away from the door. Looking at the screw, it only extends to about a 16th of an inch. is there a way to fix this?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The handle is screwed onto the outer door panel from the inside. If it is loose, the handle is likely stripped where the screw goes in. Does the handle appear to be stripped? The link below shows how that assembly is broken down.

There is a white plastic star nut that looks like it has broken off, i believe this is what needs replacement, But how do I get to the handle from the inside?
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

In the diagram at the link below, the number 13 plastic choke will need to be carefully pried off. There are plastic tabs about very 2" or so. See the pages attached.
