Hello from JA

What are you trying to unlock the door or the electronic control board?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The electronic board remains lit, locking the door lock
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

The dishwasher does not lock the door .

it only latches it closed to turn the unit on .

Are you saying that you can not get the door to pull open?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The door is open, lock light is on, but door cannot be locked shut
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

ok any lock light is for the electronic control

Again the door has NO lock !!

Are you saying that the door will not fully shut?

Open the door and see if something is stopping the upper rack or the lower rack from going all the way into the unit.

That would be the only thing that will stop the door from fully closing.
