Customer Question

Bosch washer was not working properly. Hired a technician who replaced the main control board. It was noted that the board showed signs of failure (black marks like it was fried). Washer appeared to be working (filled w/ water, spun, drained). the repair guy suggested replacing the user control module soon too. "New shoes, old laces". Ultimately the washer was still not operating properly so I purchased the new part on line and replaced it myself.
However, now it will not operate at all: turn nob on, all indicators light up, cycle lights turn off, selections remain on. Nothing else.
Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If it was working with the old interface control, you probably got the incorrect control, got a faulty control or have it connected improperly. What is the part number you replaced, please?

I replaced the user control board: 00668402
The tech replaced the main control board: 00705463

Those are the correct parts. Does the door lock?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
As far as I can tell.
You note two other things it could be: faulty, or installed incorrectly.
I don't think it is installed incorrectly b/c the wires will only fit in one configuration.
How does one tell if a control is faulty?

I would agree, it is unlikely it is installed incorrectly. Please allow me just a few minutes to upload the tech sheet so we can see if it will go into a diagnostics cycle.

The tech sheet is attached. Can you see if it will go into a service cycle?

The washer is in our tenants apt. I won't be able to test it until Saturday.
I'm following along in the instructions ok (thank you for sending ).
I don't quite understand how to select the test program. Perhaps it will be more clear when it is in front of me.

Once you get at the control, you can step through it. It sounds like the control module may be faulty. Let me know how it goes.
