Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If the igniter is getting red but the burner will not light, you probably have a faulty valve. Is the igniter getting hot but no gas? Are you getting 120 VAC to the igniter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the igniter and the oven thermostat both have current, the igniter does not glow, both are brand new.

Well, if the igniter is getting 120 VAC and it is not glowing, then it is bad.
