Customer Question

I am repairing a Maytag Dryer Model MED7500YW. This is a compact 24" model. While troubleshooting the 'No heat' problem, I accidentally slipped the belt from the drum. This is complicated because the belt is directly driven from the motor with NO tensioning
pulley plus the motor is mounted to the bottom frame plate of the dryer in a stationary manner; i.e., no sider slots. So how do I reattach the belt? Regarding the 'No Heat' problem, incoming AC is 220VAC at terminals and drum and blower both work [the drum
prior to the belt mishap]. Heater coil shows continuity, All temp switches and door switch showec continuity and have individually been jumpered out. What am I failing to do?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The belt will need to be forcefully stretched to get to the pulley then as you keep the belt at the end of pulley, turn it so it will wrap to the pulley and stretch into place. See the page attached. As far as the heat is concerned, can you test the voltage to the element? If all of the thermostats are okay, you likely have a faulty control, available below.
