Hello from JA My name is Woody. I will be glad to assist you today. I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years, and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.
Can I please have the Full model number of the unit to better assist you ? Open the door the model/serial tag is on the face frame .
And does the time display count down at all?
When you open the dryer door does the interior light come on?
And of course it will take a full minute for the time to count down to the next number ,just want to make sure it does not count down.
Ok Do you have a volt-Ohm meter and know how to use it? to do any voltage or component testing?
So you're saying that you have no lights on the console at all?
Yes I know that but you JUST said (dryer does not start so timer does not come on) which to me meant the timer display was not illuminated!!
I will ask again ,,Do you have a volt-Ohm meter and know how to use it? to do any voltage or component testing?
Ok So you need to be able to see why the control display does not count down and why the dryer does not stat.
which means either the door switch is fault on the second set of contacts that tells the control the door is closed, or the electronic control board itself has failed .
with out a meter that is impossible to tell which .
unless you just start replacing parts ,and I prefer not to do that.
so youre going to need a meter and they are inexpensive you can get them for less then $10.00
