Need Appliance Repair Help? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
All you should need to do is remove the ice bucket and lower the wire arm on the icemaker for it to start making ice. If it doesn't make ice, then something has failed---either you have a bad icemaker, or a bad water valve, or a frozen water line to the icemaker which you can unplug the unit for 24 hours to thaw everything out to see if that will resolve the issue or not. If not then you know you have a bad icemaker or water valve and you'd need a technician to replace those.
