Customer Question

My ice maker dispenser handle depresses but no ice is dispensed nor is there any noise. Is there a power connection between the dispenser handle and the dispensing machine?

Ok it sounds as if you have a Volt-Ohm meter!

Can you test the voltage to the ice dispenser motor?

If so test it on Blur to White with the freezer door light switch taped down ,and looking for 120 volts a/C

I have no Volt / Ohm meter with me. My handyman has it on his truck.
I replaced the mother board last night because I lost the refrigeration.
Unit is now working OK. Freezer is freezing and the refrigerator is cold.
The water dispenser works, the light works;
The ice maker works.
The ice dispenser handle depresses.
No sound exists and no movement occurs with the bar dispenser.
Is there a physical power connector between the dispenser and the motor to check power?
Is there another method to check the motor?

Are you still there?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

you can test the motor for voltage going to it when calling for ice that is the easiest way ,but you can ohm the motor out ,but both ways will require a meter to test it .

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will get the ohm tester tonight and contact you. How do I save a connection with you?
