While washing a blanket in the centenial mtw5805tw the washer just quit during the wash cycle, and there seemed to be a faint elecricial smell, I removed the rear panel but could see any signs of elec damage, the outlet has power, but i can not get the washer to do anything

Hello, this is Dave. This could be the lid switch. Here is a video link for how to get to the switch. See if it is broken or if it doesn't click. Let me know if your control panel doesn't have the rear screws fro removal. Some have clips under the front edge and then they tilt back.
