The only thing that can cause that issue is the touch control panel, not the control board if the fluff button is causing the dryer to start when you press it. Try to unplug the dryer for 5 minutes to see if the electronics will reset. If that doesn't work, then it sounds like the membrane buttons inside the touch control panel are shorting out and will need to be replaced.

OK have you tried to reseat the ribbon cable on the CCU board?
Ok reseat it and try it often I carefully bend the tabs on the board tighter so they make better contact with the ribbon cable
Yes if that did not fix the issue do still only some buttons work?

OK listen closely after you press the start button by the console, do you hear a SINGLE CLICK happen?
