Sounds like the base of the appliance has flooded. Unplug the appliance and drag it out. Tip it rearward about 45 degrees, water will run out of the rear corners so a couple of towels would be handy. Once drained, try the machine again. If once dried out and does this again you have a leak somewhere and will need to locate it.
