Does the icemaker mold have any water or ice in the mold at this time?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No it does not at this time.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

ok lets pull the ice storage container out of the unit and with a short piece of #12 insulated wire stripped on each end about 1/2 inch back and lets jump out L to V and see if you get water to come into the icemaker

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay give me a minute or so.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
With just the ice holder out I do not see any contact points L, V or any other. Do I need to remove more of the unit?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

you have to remove the icemaker front cover .

Sorry used to dealing with service techs and not home owners.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ha, no I'm just a home owner trying to make my wife happy.
I will try it again with out breaking something, give me a minute.

No problem the front cover just pulls off the icemaker.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well so far it does not want to pull off, any hints/advice?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I've pulled with both hands and it won't come off, I am afraid that I am going to break something.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

rock the square cover back and fourth it just pulls off.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I rocked so hard the whole ref was shaking and it still did not come off. I guess I will have to spen more money to have a tech to come to my house?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

I guess so there are no screws it ids just a friction fit .

I have never needed a tool to get an icemaker cover off the icemaker.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If for some miricle I was able to get it off later what would L to V tell me if the water does or does not flow?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

when you jump L to V that give voltage directly to the valve .if you get water then that tells you the issue is not the valve but the icemaker itself.
