washing machine is very noisy when spin drying.
Dryer is a little too noisy when drying.
Both machines were bought at the same time.
There age may be 7 or 8 years old.
Are they too old to spend money for repair?

The washer is going to be a major repair as this unit is known for the pump bearing failing or worse yet, the main center bearing and seal for the tub. The repair for the cheaper option (pump bearing issue) is about $250 with parts trip and labor, while the main bearing and seal is about $350. I probably wouldn't advise fixing the washer, but the dryer is usually just a bad drum roller or idler pulley or something minor if it's starting to get a bit noisy and the cost of repair should be less than $150 regardless of what the problem is.
