Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

I`m going to need a bit more info then just a broken start button.

Do you mean the actual button surface is broken, or do you mean when you select a cycle and press start that the unit does not start?

The button is loose and will not depress

ok so then it is not a button issue.

The button is just a small plastic cup that when it is pressed ,presses on a tab switch on the user interface on the unit behind the console.

this may help you understand the workings of the console.

The button is #4 the interface is #2 it will need to be replaced.
