Maytag bottom freezer/fridge, icemaker is, (I guess), over

Customer Question

maytag bottom freezer/fridge, icemaker is, (I guess), over filling. Water builds up in bottom, freezes into a sheet, and once enough has accumulated, leaks out onto floor.
We put in a new icemaker a year ago, and it worked just fine until 3 or 4 months ago. Installed a new water valve yesterday,(based on troubleshooting guide for this model), and still having same problem. Maytag model no. is MBB2256GEQ, Mfg. no. is PMBB2256GC0, s/n 10391321CA

Are you actually seeing icicles from the icemaker itself? If it was overfilling it would be very obvious.
