Ray, We have a Miele dishwasher and the impeller pump seems

Customer Question

HI Ray,
We have a Miele dishwasher and the impeller pump seems to be stuck. Our challenge is that we have tried to use the hook tool and I think we only managed to crack off a piece of the pump blade. It still gets stuck after filling the dishwasher with water and heating it. Can you advise us if we need to replace the pump and how?

Yes you need a new pump for sure. You need to pull the unit out an then tip it over to get at the motor. Then it is a basic replacement, here is a image to show you.

Also, the link to the repair seems to be missing. I am only getting to a page with a cartoon image of an appliance.

So you have just a new drain pump?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's a new circulation pump

I am not sure what would be making the buzzing sound on it, that is not right unless something is rubbing or vibrating. Does it work though?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it works but the noise is loud enough to be an issue

You may have received a defective motor, I am not sure not else would cause that.
