My Maytag Bravos dryer has had thermal fuse replaced twice

Customer Question

My Maytag Bravos dryer has had thermal fuse replaced twice in two days by Maytag technician. I am getting very good exhaust flow. What else would cause the thermal fuse to blow?

Hello, this is Dave. The second letter in your model is wrong. It could be an E or G. Can you check?

Thanks. Anything that allows the temperature to go too high will cause the thermal fuse to open. They need to bypass the fuse and test until they find the cause. One likely possibility is a heating element shorted to ground since your model has an electric heater. This is a simple test with an ohm meter. If the tech needs more instruction please let me know.

Are you going to do the work or is the Maytag repairman coming back? Let me know what happens.
