A quarter fell into the washer and as I tried to pick it up

Customer Question

A quarter fell into the washer and as I tried to pick it up it slid under the adgetator. Took of the adgetator and it looks like it slid further down into the machine. It is a model MVWB700VQ, 2008 model. Can you help?

Just pull the basket out to get the coin if you want to or do nothing about it. Nothing holds the basket to the shaft. The coin will not typically cause any harm if left alone as these washers have a deflector that tends to keeps coins out of the drain pump where they would cause trouble. You need to lift up the top and take off the tub cover to get the basket out.
