i defrosted my upright ge freezer last night, now when I plug it in it trips the breaker instantly

Is this plugged into GFI outlet that is tripping? Some people refer to it as a breaker.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No gfi outlet. The gfi breaker in fuse box was tripping. There was water in temp dial. I blew it out with "canned air" and all is working well now
