I need to remove the lid to my maytag bravos XL mvwb725bno.

I viewed the youtube website that you gave me. I needed to replace my lid lock contraption. I had viewed this same video last week. When I got to the part about opening the lid with a putty knife I couldn't get past that because I had screws holding it in place and could not get to the screws to remove them. It did not showed the screws on the video and I can't get past this point.

there are NO screws that hold the top panel down only the two clips.Are you sure that you have given the correct model number?

around a metal bar/clip attached to the top of the washer - same spot as the clips are. I did get the clips removed properly.
