Customer Question

I have a GE double oven hung up in self clean cycle. The doors will not lock. I hear the motors cycle on and off but the locking mechanism does not move. The "locked" lights for both ovens are blinking and there is an on/off clicking. This occurred the first time I tried to use the self clean after replacing the control panel.

The door latch must be bad here if you see no movement of the latch when you here the motor running. There is no other explanation as the latch motor is one complete assembly, so any failure of it requires it to be replaced.
