Does it beep when you press a button?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It makes a clicking sound. The clicking sound seem to come from the white box (PCB Board box?).
Does not seem to beep.

Okay, you will need to replace the display board to fix the problem.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That is a very expensive option, right? How do I know that will indeed fix the issue?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do hear the clicking sound when I tap on the display board also.

Will the unit do anything?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The unit does not do anything. But I know it was working fine - just one day it refused to turn on.
Only thing it does now is clicking sound when you press on the buttons on the panel Or LCD display.

I would replace the main board as it should start if the display board is bad just not show anything on the display. Check the wiring first though and make sure there is not a loose connection or damaged wire.

Not sure how to check for damaged wires..
Are you saying that I may have to replace the main board too? I see that both these are expensive parts.

yes and yes pretty expensive
