Hello from JA My name is***** will be glad to assist you today. I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 34 Years, and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 60,000 phone and internet repairs under my belt.when you press the power button does the console light up?And if it does and you program a cycle and press start does the door lock or does the time display count down?and the door is closed correct?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

did not get any follow up!only have your first post (Whirlpool duet washer won't start)
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I press control, lights up, press start nothing happens. Also the selector switch has a hard time finding the right cycle time sometimes
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
ok so if it does not lock the door ,are you seeing any error codes ? after you press start?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No error codes...nothing
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
Ok I have to suspect the door latch /lock assembly is not even telling the control board the door is closed.here is a link to the door latch assembly.http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/b5p11/Whirlpool-Washing-Machine-Door-Latch/8182634/1094190?modelNumber=GHW9300PW4&ss=a11b5d895364&mr=1?rcaid=1000070 If you have any questions just reply back.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can I jumper it to prove the theory?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
Yes on the main control board CCU you can jump the DS3-1 to the DS3-3 this will represent the door being closed.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Having a hard time finding those two terminals
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
they are right on the main control board it is the only DS3 connector on the CCU.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I see ds3 so is it the 1st and 3rd?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
the DS3 connector only has two wires on it 1 and 3
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The door switch is good. Checked with a meter
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
ok the door switch assembly does more then just those two contacts .so are you saying those two terminals on the harness at the control has continuity when the door is closed?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes when closed and not when the door is open
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
if the door switch has continuity on those two terminals only when the door is closed .then it has to be the CCU itself.here is a link for the part http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Main-Control-Board/8182789/1176630?rcaid=1000070 If you have any questions just reply back.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes, when I short across the terminals behind the button, it starts
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
are you talking about the user interface behind the console?
