We did a diagnostic test after the dryer stopped running

Customer Question

Hi we did a diagnostic test after the dryer stopped running and the sensing light stayed on. It came up with 6e and then when we put a wet piece of clothing over the sensing strip it showed 09. When we put our finger over it, nothing showed.

A sensor issue will not keep the dryer from running. Is the belt on?

The thermal fuse may be out. Watch this video on how to get to it. Take the wires off the fuse and interlock them. keep the connection away from the dryer and see if it starts up. Let me know what happens. You need to copy the below address in your browser to view it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCBomwNtVao
