I have a Maytag washer LA7300. The timer advances through the spin cycle when I manually move the timer to spin. However, the washer will not fill the tub and it will not automatically advance through the fill cycle.

Water never enters the unit.

Ok can you see if you have power to the fill valve...or unplug the unit and get at the pressure switch. Connect the Gray and Brown wires from the pressure switch together and try and start the machine...does it fill?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK. I have to take front panel off washer before I can test the fill valve and/or pressure switch.
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 1 year ago.
The pressure switch is in the console, just 2 phillips screws on the top edge and it flips towards you to get at it.

OK. Connected Brown and Gray wires. Did not solve the problem.

OK will the unit spin?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes, the unit spins

Where is the fill valve?
Expert:  Appliance Guru replied 1 year ago.
Where the water lines connect. You need to remove the 5/16" screw on the plate and the whole fill valve and plate will come out to get at the wires to it. You can feel if it is humming when you try to start the cycle..if so the valve is plugged up and bad.

OK. I will check now

OK sounds good, I will be gone for a couple hours and will be back later I will check back with you!

Checked the fill valve. It does not hum or have any indication of operation when I touch it. Spin cycle still works. Can I bypass electronics and force fill valve to activate? If no water, then valve is bad.

Found schematic inside control panel
