Why exactly do you think the unit is "stuck in defrost"? Are there any fans or motors running? Is either the refrigerator or freezer cold at all?

freezer at -5 and frig at 60

OK then your unit is definitely not stuck in defrost or else the freezer would be warmed up as well. So the first thing you need to do is pull everything out of the freezer and remove the back panel inside the freezer. Once you remove the back panel you can see the evaporator coils and the evaporator fan motor. Is the fan motor running above the silver coils? And if you look at the silver evaporator coils, are they lightly frosted from top to bottom? Packed with frost? etc....
