Thank you for requesting me.
Are the light solid or one then the other blinking?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
they are all solid
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
ok if they are solid the unit is NOT in diagnostics a rolling blinking would be diagnostics.
Solid light is telling you the unit has a fault and has taken itself out of service.

Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
ok I see what happened the whirlpool web site brings up two different tech sheets
Here is the correct diagnostics for your model .
Sorry About that .
ACTIVATING THE SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC
TEST MODES
1. Be sure the washer is in standby mode (plugged in with all indicators off, or all indicators lit but not flashing).
NOTE: There are 5 failure modes that can cause the washer to go out of service, indicated by all of the LEDs lit, but not flashing. When this occurs, the washer cannot be started until the condition that caused the failure is corrected and the fault code is cleared. Use the following steps to enter into Fault Code
Display Mode, view the fault code, and clear logged fault codes.
2. Perform the following sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob.
NOTE: AFTER RESET, sequence “a” through “e” must be completed within 6 seconds, stopping just briefly between each click (resulting in the following sequence: Left - Right - Right - Left - Right, as indicated below).
RESET - Place cycle selector knob pointer at 12 o’clock
position and wait 3–4 seconds before proceeding.
a. Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click.
b. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
c. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
d. Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click.
e. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
 Successful activation of Diagnostic Test Modes will be
indicated by all status LEDs (except for Lid Locked)
flashing ON and OFF in half-second intervals. NOTE in a rotating type of motion.
If the status LEDs do not display as described above, the sequence may not have been completed within 6 seconds.
Repeat step 2 to ensure this was not the cause.
If still unsuccessful, let me know
If successful let me know what lights are on the console under the center dial
EXITING THE SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES
Press and hold the START button for 3 seconds at any time to exit diagnostic test modes.
Washer will exit diagnostic test modes after 5 minutes of inactivity or unplugging the power cord.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That is how to put the machine under diagnostics. I've been doing that and to answer your question they all blink.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I had a page just with those steps but I don't have the other pages in order to read the codes that the light display
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I downloaded the same process for a similar machine but it has other codes that don't apply to my machine
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
So you do m=not have any one light blinking after running diagnostics?
If not after you cancel diagnostics are you able to run the unit then .
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't run the diagnostics because I don't know which specific order or combination of lights are the diagnostics, I know there are also automatic test mode, manual test mode calibration mode so I don't know which one I'm I running.
but in the end if I cancel it all the lights are off and the machine can be used but the lights come back on after we try the cycle.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 1 year ago.
That is WHY I gave you the SERVICE diagnostics.
