Oven light won't go off and door appears to stay open even though it is not. Is there a switch somewhere?

Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 33 Years,

What do you mean the door appears to stay open?

Are you just talking about the light being on?

And if look at the top of the oven cavity you will see a latch and a light plunger , if you push it in the light should go off .

If not you will need to replace the latch /lock assembly

Yes the light stays on and you can't clean the over because it says the door is open. There is NO light plunger at the top of the oven cavity for the light. Not sure How it tells when it is open or closed. Can you replace the switch and not the whole locking mechanism?

No the parts of the locking /latch assembly are not sold seperatly ,you have to replace the entire assembly
