I have a Whirlpool Duet Washer that is about 10 years old.

This answer was rated:

I have a Whirlpool Duet Washer that is about 10 years old. It has just started giving an HF code several minutes into the cycle. The hoses are not clogged. Water seems to be getting to the tank. When I cancel and start the load over, it works for a few minutes and then gives the code again. Where is the "Pressure Switch" I see mentioned in the Care Guide and how might I go about troubleshooting to see if I need to replace it?
Hello, My name isXXXXX you for choosing Just Answer, It is my pleasure to assist you today.

Okay perfect, so No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then

valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.

Or

If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has

detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure

switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

In this machine its the pressure switch like you thought. that's located under the top in the back right corner mounted to the side wall. number 23 on this diagram now you can order this at the following link. pressure switch Pressure Switch W10514214 Main Product View

Hmmm...well, I had to ask! I guess I will have to decide whether to get a new washer or take the chance on spending more money...Thanks anyway! If I get a switch locally in the next few days and have any follow-up questions, how can I go about that or do I have to pay another $30 ? Thanks.

yes you can always come back even after rating me,(no additional charge) Please rate me 3 or above before leaving so I get credit for helping you. I pretty confident the pressure switch is the issue, thanks and have a great night , Bryan
