Open the door. Press the door light switch in and then grab the latch hook that is sticking out. Move or put pressure on it the opposite way it hooks and have someone start the slef clean cycle then cancel it to see if the latch hook will move back out of position to the open position. You have to keep the door light plunger switch depressed.

latch only moves a slight bit F8 shows on the screen

Ok you may have a broken latch motor or something with the latch motor mechansim. The motor mechanism is in the very back of the unit and there is a metal arm that runs across the top of the unit to the hook. The arm is attached to the motor cam on the latch motor and if the motor gear is stripped or the microswitch on the motor is bad that will happen. You would need to pull the unit out of the cabinet and remove the back panel to get at the latch motor to check it out. Here is a link to the part in case you need a new one.
