My friend has a GE solid state induction cooktop Model #JP688001BK and the control panel indicates the elements are on but the temp. lites are flashing at any temp and there isn't any noticeable heat to any of the elements using a bunch of different pans. I've checked the power and there is 220 volts coming to the unit .Is there a reset breaker and I'm reasonably experienced with electricity and some appliance repair could I repair this problem? Thanks for you help.

applianceguy : Hi, the first thing you want to doo is kill the power for 10 min and then turn back on. I willl look for the service manual on this unit.
applianceguy : Do you see timer on /off and control lock buttons?
applianceguy : are you there?
Customer:

I'm now here but not where the stove is

This is an OLD cooktop and there are NO parts available any more for it.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thanks for responding, but there aren't any control lock or timer selections on the cooktop control area

As I mentioned previously- there is no point in trying to diagnose what is wrong or trying to fix this cook top as there are NO parts availablefor it any more
