The most common issue for your problem is the motor brushes wearing out on the machine. The brushes on the motor wear down and then the motor will not turn at all. You should take the brushes out and replace or at least check them for significant wear. Look under the motor for any powder, typically the brushes only last 5years or so.
Hello, we've checked and the brushes are fine. There was some carbon around the motor but the brushes still have plenty left on them. The bearings are all good too.
