my name is XXXXX XXXXX i am an appliance expert and i can help you today.
do you have a multi meter with continuity check on it to test the start switch?
then we cant check the start switch and no for sure if that is the problem or the motor in your dryer.
but here is what I can tell you.
if you were hearing a buzzing sound, it was most likely not coming from the switch. It was coming from the motor. and when you hit the switch and hold it in it send an electrical signal to the motor to start it. and when you let go of the switch the motor runs on its own.
please get back to me here when you have time and a meter to check the machine thoroughly and i can help you beter.
I believe it is the motor as the buzzing was happening again and then stopped and nothing. I will have to do some more checking. Thank you for tonight.
