Hello, thanks for letting us answer your questions. We appreciate your business!
May I have the model number of your machine, please?
Are you saying that all the LED's are flashing when it stops?
just the one next to the add garment line
Is the machine filled with water?
Will it fill?
im pretty sure the
oops. no it wont fill
what happens when you try to put into the normal cycle?
Still there? just checking since i lost connection
will the drum start tumbling?
for a few seconds
are you getting any error codes?
Does the door lock?
it does not have the LCD display just the LEDs. the green light flashes 9 times then pauses then flashes 1 time
the door does lock
If you place the machine into the drain spin cycle, does the pump turn on?
I downloaded the tech sheet from Whirlpool, but there is a descrepency with document. My tech sheet says you have a display, but you are saying you don;t
no i dont
You will have to access the tech sheet located in the bottom of your machine. Do you have some tools?
i have the bottom cover off
do you see the plastic bag holding the tech sheet?
no. i just got this washer from a family member so they may have taken it out
damn, what luck :(
lets try something
1. Closethedoor.2. Select any three different keys(exceptPOWER).Individually press these in a sequence of 1,2,3 and thenrepeat this sequence two more times. This sequence mustbe completed within 8 seconds of the first keypress. These three keys are referred to the1st,2nd,and 3rdkeybased on the order pressed.3. Upon entry into service diagnostics, the console will beep(if available)and all console LED lights will turn on for5seconds.
Tell me this works
ok the lights lit up
ok let me read something
Press the 3rd key once and tell me if any different LEDs light up
all the lights come on and stay on
I think you have a problem with the machine control unit. This is a grey box that is located under the top cover on the right side.It controls the operation of the machine
ok. i assume i can buy one of these. what is the easiest way to take the top cover off
remove the two screws on the back of the top cover and push it backwards and lift it off
click for part
Replacing it , is just a matter of swapping the wires one by one from the old to the new
Dont remove the wires until you have the replacement part
I think I pressed a wrong button in the sequence earlier. I tried it again and the light next to wash flashes.
the machine should enter a short diagnostic cycle
it should fill wash and spin out
It would be easier if you had the tech sheet as it would spell out all the steps neededbut at this point I am sure you have a problem with the MCU(machine control unit)
ok. It is not filling or anything
At this point I can't think of anything else it would be.If the door locks it should proceed to start filling. You stated the motor began to turn so I am ruling out the motor control unit, which is down on the bottom of the machine
The cost from Sears is half the cost of the other suppliers I have checked for you.
Did you have any other questions?
