Thanks for using this service. Please be logged in to rate my assistance when we are done. Rating 3-5 is good, but 1-2 is bad so talk with me first.

Appliance Guru :

Just let me know when you are here

Customer:

I am here

Appliance Guru :

Ok so the unit just stays in sensing ...does it fill with water?

Customer:

correct

Appliance Guru :

Ok lets put it through a calibration check

Appliance Guru :

one sec while I pull it up

Customer:

ok

Customer:

do i need to be at the washer/

Appliance Guru :

Yes

Appliance Guru :

are you?

Customer:

no, that could be an issue. my internet comes in and out where the washer is. I will try

Customer:

ok lets try it

Appliance Guru :

Ok let me just go through the steps and then you can do them at the machine

Customer:

ok I am ready when you are

Appliance Guru :

With the machine off rotate the dial counterclockwise a couple of full turns and stop at the 12 oclock postion.

Customer:

so two full turns and stop at 12?

Customer:

I just did that

Appliance Guru :

Move the dial 3 clicks to the 3 oclock position with about 1/2sec between clicks.....then back to thw 2 oclock position then one more time to the 3 oclock position in that order....all the lights should light up

Appliance Guru :

let me know when you get it

Customer:

did that

Customer:

nothing lit

Appliance Guru :

If it does not work do the same thing all over counterclockwise a couple turns then 12 oclock to 3 oclock to 2 oclock then back to 3 oclock

Appliance Guru :

1/2 sec between clicks

Customer:

No lights

Customer:

went counterclock wise twice to 12 o clock

Appliance Guru :

So you will be going 3 clicks to the right from the 12 position then 1 back then 1 forward

Customer:

than 12 to 3 then to 2 then back to 3

Customer:

did that

Customer:

nothing happened

Appliance Guru :

You have to go a little slow slow down the clicks forward

Customer:

do I need to go slow when I do the counterclock wise?

Appliance Guru :

No counterclockwise is just to reset it to try again

Appliance Guru :

go slow when you are doing the 3 clicks to then 1 click back then 1 click forward

Appliance Guru :

It will go

Appliance Guru :

It is like cracking a safe

Customer:

It might have reset just didnt light up. I went counterclock wise twice, then I went 12-3 1/2 in between then back to 2 then back to 3.

Customer:

still nothing

Appliance Guru :

Ok from turn it counterclockwise and stop at 12 with all the lights off then go a little slow 12, 1, 2, 3, 2, 3 in that order just go steady and a little slow

Customer:

Ive done that multiple times but I will try again

Appliance Guru :

Try again....I have done this many times it can be a pain

Appliance Guru :

It is a bad diagnostic designb

Customer:

Still no lights at this point

Customer:

Should I press start then try it?

Customer:

or leave it completely off?

Appliance Guru :

All the lights will light up when you get it

Appliance Guru :

NO EVERYTHING HAS TO BE OFF

Appliance Guru :

Nothing lit when doing it

Customer:

Ok everything has been off we will keep trying

Customer:

could it be the lid switch that is not letting this happen??

Appliance Guru :

Yes a lot of times people just click too fast you can not go too fast nor too slow

Appliance Guru :

Always turn it a couple times counterclockwsie before trying the procedure again

Customer:

tried doing it at different speeds and still nothing

Appliance Guru :

Then I would say you have a bad control board. You have to get it into diagnostic mode to do a calibration or get error codes out. If it willnot go in get a new main control board. They have had a lot of problems with that board and it may just be junk as most of them are. Here is a link to a new one
