Hi. I'm Smitty. I am a professional appliance repair consultant here to help you diagnose, and repair, your appliance.

Does the dryer stop when you open the door?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
yes

Thank you. One moment while I look something up.

Sorry for the wait.

Try this for me.

With the door open set the timer to the off position and then close the door. Does the unit start.

Open th edoor again and set the timer to a dry cycle. Close the door. Does the unit start?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
its doesnt start with timer set to off. but if its in dry it will start

Okay, that is good then.

What this means is the start button is stuck. Please do not use the unit until this is resolved. It can ruin the motor.

Please click here to order the new switch.

There is also a complete step by step video of how to install the new switch. It is an easy repair and can be done with a screwdriver and a 1/4" nut driver, wrench, or socket.

Please let me know if you have any other immediate concerns.
If not please select a positive rating at this time. Doing so will not close your question, and after you rate my service you may ask any followup questions you like. All at no additional charge.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
Best, Smitty
