Hello - we have GE Refrig Model # XXXXX It was stuck

Resolved Question:

Hello - we have GE Refrig Model # XXXXX It was stuck on Express Thaw and both frig and freezer warmed up before we realized what happened. When we reset temps they go back to current warm temp. We have tried unplugging frig but not resetting. Is there a way to reset the frig or fix this problem. Thank you

When you adjust the controls the set temps should set but then the display will go back and show the actual temp. How long have you waited since adjusting the temp down?

last night we waiting over an hour and then overnight this morning 30 minutes

Ok it is really common that the main control board fails on this model. Most the time if you remove the control board and look at the back of it you will see a burn mark. Pull the fridge forward and unplug it. Then remove the cover over the control board on the back. Disconnect the wires and remove the board. Then look at the back of it. If you see a burned solder joint then you will need to replace the control board.
