My down draft fan started on its own and I can't shut it off. I had just finished cleaning the top and knobs with soapy sponge. The stove is over 14 years old and works beautifully.
Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today.

It sound like some of the water got int to the fan switch. If you just turn the breaker off to the downdraft for a couple hours the switch should dry out and start working properly.
