Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today.

Why cant you remove the bolt that holds the cover over the impeller?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the bolt appears to be a metric size or torqued on very hard.

why is water coming out of the sink vent?

The screw is a t15 torx bit. The first step you need to do is to remove the cover and check the impeller. Here is a video that will help. CLICK HERE.

If you have water coming out the sink vent that is air gap by the sink is probably clogged. Most are gaps you can pull the cover off them then remove the insides to unplug them.

have no idea what a t15 torx bit is

Of water is coming out of the sink then I would check the air gap first. Any hardware store will sell a t15 torx bit.
