In a dryer, my friend told me it was ok to clean the motor by spraying a jet of water on it."of course not wetting the electrical. How true is that if it's all dirty

appliance doctor :

appliance doctor :

Did you take the dryer apart to look at the motor ?

Customer:

Yes and it was super dirty. He rinsed it out with a jet of water and said it was ok to do that

Customer:

My question is just if that's possible

appliance doctor :

You dont use water to clean the motor , you can use vacuum cleaner and a brush .

appliance doctor :

Water and electricity dont like each other it can blow the motor .

appliance doctor :

What you should do now is dry out the motor with a hair blower before you turn it on .
