my ge washer ptan9150mww will not work....the rinse and heavy rinse lights are flashing on the control board, and it makes a beeping sound. it was working fine last evening

hi thanks for choosing tihs service, does your washer have autosense for the fill?

yes it does...if you mean I can set it to decide the load size. ( but it does not work on any of the settings - small, medium, large, or auto)

Customer :

hopefully I can do something to get it going....I have 5 young children and live in a remote area

if you put it on large and try to hit start what does it do

Customer :

it beeps and the lights flash

is it full of water?

Customer :

no....I had just put towels in to wash....it was working fine last evening....it would not start this morning

sounds like possibly a bad lid switch

lm0494 :

but there is nothing you can do without replacing the switch

Customer :

so can I do anything

if your good with wiring you could bypass it

lm0494 :

but this eliminates the saftey so if its in a spin cycle it wont stop by lifting lid can be dangerous

Customer :

so I guess I have to wait until I can get it serviced ( obviously they are closed today)

Customer :

I cannot wire things LOL

oh ya thats the only way to bypass it, the new one will have to be wired

the lid clicks when we open it up....

its either lid switch or the motor

Customer :

great...guess I wait until service opens tomorrow ( they only come to my area once a week)

unfornately does sound broken no reset will work

this washer is just over a year old....glad we got the extended warranty....we have had more trouble with it....Happy New Year
