I have a Kenmore Elite fridge and there was a dent on the left

This answer was rated:

I have a Kenmore Elite fridge and there was a dent on the left door. I bought a new door and want to replace it. I disconnected all the harnesses but there is a line shown in the pic. (maybe the water line) How do I disconnect it to put the new door on or do I have to cut it and reconnect it somehow?

Hello, Thank you for using this service, I will be helping you with your problem today

okay good. that should be a 1/4" line correct ? do you see a connector like this up there ? Hose Connector 4932JA3009A Main Product View

There's no connector. See picture

okay. these can be a real pain. what i do is go to lowes and tell them you need a 1/4" quick connect for a 1/4" plastic water line.this is the easiest way to change that door. when you get the connect it will look like the one I sent you a picture of but will be straight not elbowed. these are real simple to put in.when you cut the tube make sure you have enough to put the connect on. these connectors you just slip the tube in all the way and then pull it back to make sure it locked, very simple. hope this helps, thanks .
