The straps are ok, its the inner tub jerks back and forth, like its trying


to spin while agitating.

Hi my name isXXXXX have been an appliance servicer for GE since 1992.
Lets try this first. Unplug the machine for 15 seconds. Plug back in. Raise and lower the lid 5 times.Try setting the machine in a cycle again or spin to see if reseted.
PLease let me know, and we will go to the next step for proper diagnosis.

Well that didn't work for the agitate problem,it did spin fine

I would recommend changing the mode shifter part# WH38X10017.
If the spin test worked ok.
