I have a GE profile range with glass cooktop - the 12" triple element has stopped working on the inner two elements, but the outer element still works when the largest burner is selected. Any ideas on most likely cause (element, control switch etc) before I start looking!
The switch is bad or the elements for the 2 non-working sections are open. You will need to access the burner and look at it as a visual look will easily reveal an open element. This is simply a process of elimination and starting with the burner makes it quick work.
