Maytag PTB21AAFRW interior of fridge is leaking in the back. I looked in the freezer and removed the back panel & could not locate the drain hole to clean it out. Is there a part in the back of the fridge that should be removed?
Hello..When this happens the problem will end up being a blocked defrost drain..The drain is located just behind the freezer INSIDE back wall..At the middle..The defrosted water normally exits down the drain and into the pan underneath the fridge..When the drain becomes blocked..The water backs up into the floor of the freezer then runs down the vent to the fridge..Which is why you are seeing water in the fridge section..If you have the inside wall removed..You might not see the drain hole due to ice covering the drain hole. The hole is only slightly bigger than the size of a dime.Take some hot water ..Thaw the drain. You can also use a hairdryer..Just be very careful not to melt the plastic...Make sure you have it thawed to where water will run out and down the drain..Sounds like you are in the right area from what you posted.
